Give a client access to their sites
If you run translations for clients, you can let a client look at, or review, their own sites without seeing your other sites. This is part of the Agency plan and the Business arrangement (see the pricing page).
Give access#
- Open Agency in the navigation and choose Clients. Owners and admins can do this, with two-factor sign-in.
- Enter the client's email address.
- Choose what they may do: look only, or review (approve or reject suggestions and write comments).
- Tick the sites they may see. They get every language of those sites.
- Send the invitation. The page shows one code for each site, once. If your account sends email, the code was also sent.
What the client does#
- They sign in with the same email address (or sign up and verify it). Because every LgTranslate sign-up has a workspace of its own, they set up two-factor sign-in once (the page sends them there).
- They open Enter a code (under Agency, or the link on the Agency page) and paste the code.
- They see only the sites you chose. Other sites of yours look as if they do not exist.
A code works once, for that address only, and expires after 7 days.
Take access away#
Open Clients and choose Remove access next to the person. It ends access to every site at once.
Good to know#
- A client cannot see your usage, costs, billing, keys or other clients.
- A look only client cannot suggest, comment or approve.
- Access is limited by your plan: on a plan without team seats you see a message about upgrading, not an error.
- Your own branding (name, logo, accent colour) is set under Branding on the Agency and Business plans. Your clients then see it in the header, page title and footer of the review pages instead of the product name. Without "hide the product name" a small "Powered by LgTranslate" line stays. Your own team always sees the normal dashboard.
- Branding does not change the language switcher on your client's website, and the invitation e-mails still carry the product name.
- Several sites mean several codes today.
- Clients with access to single sites do not use one of your team seats. Your colleagues do: see Agency > Team.
